β€˜The Life Model’ in charcoal and pencil

At one life drawing class, a pose was organised by the instructor. In the studio, there was a skeleton used as an aid to help understand anatomy. At the start of the lesson it was moved on its stand. The movement dislodged the bolt on the skull, leaving a hole on the top of its head. It was a reminder of the hammer blow to the top of my skull that nearly killed me. My hand was trembling as I drew the models pose, mirrored by the skeleton lying on the floor looking neither dead nor alive.
