I did Tai Chi and the experience awoke my insight and intuition as a female. This was a celebration of the powers of the female spirit. The new work was exhibited at the Hexagon Theatre Gallery inn Reading in 1990.

I painted this before I fell in love with Sophy who I married, many years later in 2017.

If the icon opens her mouth to speak the cloth will fall free exposing her gender. This was a comment on gender inequality in the world of academe.
